It’s also important to synchronize video and audio for live events, since each takes a very different path with different frame delays.
This matters most when watching pre-recorded people speaking on videos. A delay of even a dozen milliseconds starts to affect the “lip sync” where the person’s mouth and what you hear don’t quite match. Even if you’re not aware it’s happening, it makes it more difficult for your brain to understand what’s being said. That leads to viewer fatigue.
We generally add delay to audio zones until they are perfectly synchronized to the video being displayed. This is how we do it!
